Is It Spring Yet?

Yes I Know We are Only 13 Days Into January But I'm Ready For Spring Time. We Had Our First Real Snowfall Yesterday. Temps Are Suppose To Reach The Single Digits Tonight.
Over All This Winter Has Been Considered Mild. The Temps Have Been Above Average So My Complaining Is Actually Not Justified. For Living In The State Of Illinois Winter Could Be Much Worse Than What It Has Been.
I Am In The Midst Of My Hibernation. I Play A Lot Of Euchre And Bowl As Often As Possible To Help Pass The Winter Along. I Have Already Gained 12 Pounds Since The End Of My Summer Gig. I Always Put On Extra Weight In The Winter Months. I Need Days In The 40 Degree Range So I Can Do Some Walking To Help Me Shed This Weight. It Seems All I Want To Do Is Eat.
The Middle Of Next Week We Are Suppose To Reach Temps In The 40's Which Will Allow This Snow To Melt. That Will Make My Day. I Hate Snow.
It's Not Like I Don't Like Snowmen. I Just Prefer Three Lumps Of Coal, Two Twigs, A Carrot And A Scarf Laying On The Ground.
I Was Born In The Spring Time And That's The Best Season Of The Year As Far As I Am Concerned.
Today Is Friday The 13Th. Nothing Bad Has Happened So Far. I'm Not Really Superstitious But I Don't Ignore The Unlucky Things Either. I Look At It This Way. Tomorrow Will Be Saturday The 14Th And We Are One Day Closer To Spring Time.

Today Is My Sister's 52nd Birthday. Where Have All The Years Gone? I Can Remember The Day She Was Born. Back In The Day Before Sonograms Nobody Knew What Mom Was Having Until She Gave Birth. There Were Already Three Of Us Boys So Why Not A Fourth? I Can Remember The Disappointment When Dad Came Home And Announced Mom Had A Girl. I Was Just Months From Turning Five Years Old. Isn't That Amazing? There Are Things I Can't Remember Doing Last Week.
I Found Out Through The Years Having A Sister Wasn't Much Different Than A Brother. She Played Basketball With The Rest Of The Neighbor Kids. She Played Ping Pong Pretty Darn Well Too.
So Today Is Your Day Sister Of Mine. You Have Always Been There If I Needed You For Anything. You Are A Wonderful Person And I'm Glad You Are My Sister. I Love You...

Yes, I Know It's Hard To Believe. I Have Been An Outspoken And Opinionated Person For As Long As I Can Remember.
Yes, People Make New Years Resolutions Every Year. Most Declare Them Because They Have Good Intentions In Keeping Them. I Can Honestly Say I Have Made Very Few If Any Resolutions Over The Years. This Year Is Different.
My Reason For Making The Most Important Resolution Is For My Health. I Have Been Blessed With Good Health For My Age. Yes I Have Some Health Issues But None Of Them Life Threatening. If I Continue My Trend I Am Heading For Elevated Blood Pressure Which We All Know That's Not Good At All.
I May Find It Difficult To Talk In The Coming Months. I Will Most Likely Be Biting My Tongue More Often To Prevent Myself From Speaking My Mind. Actually I Think It's The Best Policy. I Tend To Like People Who Can Hold A Conversation And Not Be So Opinionated. I Think It Makes You Feel Awkward In The Relationship.
I Have Been Carrying A Little Extra Baggage In My Front End. I'm About 30 Pounds Overweight. If I Could Lose Most Of My Gut I Will Lose Most Of My Unwanted Weight. Each Year As I Get Older I Find It Harder To Get It Off Because I Am Less Active In The Winter Months. I Hope To Be More Active This Winter Than I Have Been In Years Past. What I Am Saying Is My Chances Are Better Right Now In Losing This Weight. While I Am Still Active, I Should Do It Sooner Than Later.
I Would Like For My Weight To Be 175 Or Lower Before The End Of This Year. Not Only Do I Want This, I Need It.
So Keeping Both Resolutions Will Be A Challenge For Me. To Me Life Is A Challenge Anyway.
