Meet Nick Vujicic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc4HGQHgeFE

Most Internet Surfers Have Viewed This Or Other Motivation Video's By Nick Vujicic. Those Who Have Not, Need To Hear His Message.
For Those Who Do Not Know How To Copy And Paste Will Not Be Able To View This Video.
As A Matter Of Fact If You Don't Know How To Copy And Paste I Suggest You Learn. My Reasoning Is Simple.
Nick Was Born Without Arms And Legs. When Nick Was Young He Found Frustration When He Found Life To Be Limited. How Limited? Nick Learned To Live His Life With What He Had.
He Swims, He Runs, He Loves And He Will Capture Your Heart. His Determination Has Inspired Everyone That Has Had The Pleasure To Witness His Motivational Video's. He Has Talked With School Children, Youth, As Well As Adults. Life's Challenges May Have Obstacles, But They Can Be Achieved. I Encourage Everyone To Google Nick's Name And Watch More Motivation Video's By Nick.
As The Old Saying Goes, When Life Deals You Lemons, You Make Lemonade. That's Why I Said If You Don't Know How To Copy And Paste, I Suggest You Learn. You Learn Because You Have The Tools In Front Of You. Therefor You Can Teach The Next Person Who Does Not Know How. If You Are Unwilling To Help Yourself How Can You Help Others?

Yes, Another Assignment. Copy And Paste. You Will Understand Why.
Sometimes In Life We Need To Help One Another To Overcome Obstacles. Just A Nudge Can Make The World Of Difference In Whether You Accomplish Your Goal.

Note To My Readers; On March 7th I Wrote A Blog About Public Speaking. The Man I Wrote About Recently Passed Away. I'm Glad The Man Got His Roses Before He Died. He Never Knew That He Inspired Me That Evening Of The Bowlers Hall Of Fame. I Did Not Know Until His Passing That I Had Known His Daughter For Many Years.
I Have Always Said Once You Start Mentioning Names The World Gets Smaller.
Once Again Harold Witt, Thank You For Your Courage In Accepting Your Honor That Evening. Most Would Sit At Home To Spare Themselves The Embarrassment Due To A Speech Impediment. Your Speech That Night Made Me A Better Person.

Mow Your Grass

In A Way I Enjoy Mowing Grass. I Enjoy It Because I Know It Does A Body Good To Walk. I Still Have Another 25 Pounds I Would Like To Lose. I Have Lost 15 Pounds Since The First Of The Year. I Decided Today I Am Going To Drastically Change My Diet. In My Opinion I Am Not Losing Fast Enough.
The Warmer Months Is A Perfect Opportunity For Me To Lose My Weight. In The Colder Months I Just Need To Maintain My Weight. Weight Gain Has Been An Issue For Me During The Months I Am Less Active.
I Feel If I Change My Eating Habits Now It Will Become A Pattern For Me To Continue Over The Winter Months.
Saying NO To The Foods I Have No Business Eating Is Challenging. I Have Three More Months Left In My Summer Activity. If I Were To Lose 8 Pounds Each Month I Will Have Reached My Goal. If I Stick To My "New" Diet I See No Reason I Cannot Accomplish It.
Break It Down And It Becomes 2 Pounds A Week.
Back To My Mowing. I Have Been Asked Why I Don't Get A Riding Mower. If I Got One I Would Use It And There Goes My Much Needed Exercise. I Will Stick To Pushing The Mower Because I Know It's Better On Me If I Do.
I Have An Opportunity To Think Of Ways To Solve The Worlds Problems While Mowing.
Today I Drew The Line That Has Been Keeping Me From Eating "Right".
I Will Keep You Updated On How I Am Doing. Wish Me Luck!

M Y O B

Yes I Know My Blogs Are Always Upbeat And Positive. However There Are Times When You Need To Change Your Philosophy And Write A Common Sense Blog.
I Try Not To Be A Busy Person. I Think The Reason For That Is Because I Have Always Been Fearful That Others May Be Passing On My Personal Business.
I Have Often Felt That My Business Is Mine Alone Unless I decide To Share It With Someone Else. I Have Often Tried To Minimize Those Who I Do Decide To Share My Utmost Personal Business With Because I Prefer To Be A Private Person.
So Is This Blog Being Written For Any Particular Person? Maybe, Maybe Not. I Look At It This Way. People Need To Mind Their Business And Quit Being So Busy In Others.
Pleeeease Don't Call Me Or Ask Me Non Chalauntly If This Blog Is Being Written About You. You Will Either Get A Long Pause Or A Long Stare. Don't Put Me On The Spot And Make Me Lie To Keep The Peace. Just Mind Your Own Business And Let Me Write My Blogs About What I Decide To Write About. If You Still Continue With Your Nosiness, You Might Hear What You Don't Want To Hear. If You See Yourself In My Blog Today Then Maybe You Should Take A Good Look At Your Life And Make Some Changes. If You Like Your Life As It Is Then Expect To Hear Less From Me In The Future. I Would Not Want To Be The Butt Of Your Over Dinner Conversation.
I Enjoy The Peace I Have In My Life. Please Don't Deny Me This Pleasure. Once Again Before You Dial My Number, Think. Is This Really What I Want To Do?
Enjoy Life And Focus On All The Joys It Has To Offer.
Have A Wonderful Day!

His Name Is Jimmy

Let Me Tell You About A Man Named Jimmy. If You Have No Interest In Bowling Or Pitching Horseshoes This Blog Will Bore You.
A Gentleman Who Frequents My Sale On Fridays Gave Me Some Very Interesting Information This Past Week. He Told Me He Placed In A Horseshoe Tourney Last Weekend. I Told Him I Watched The Tourney A Couple Years Past When Walter Ray Williams Pitched. His Eyes Brightened Up When I Mentioned Walter Ray.
A Fierce Competitor And An All Around Nice Guy. Ofcourse I Know Walter Ray The Bowler But Jimmy Only Knew His As Dead Eye. Jimmy Told Me He Pitches With The Brand Of Horseshoe Called Dead Eye, The Horseshoe That Is Marketed, Designed And Promoted By Walter Ray Himself. Ofcourse I Sat There Willing To Learn More About My Sports Hero Walter Ray Williams.
I Shared With Jimmy That Day Of My Knowledge Of Walter Ray, The Bowler. Ofcourse I Was Hungry For Knowledge Of Walter Ray The Horseshoe Pitcher.
What Amazes Me The Most About Walter Ray Is That He Is A Hall Of Fame Bowler Who Throws The Ball From His Right Hand. However, In Pitching Horseshoes He Is A World Champion Throwing With His Left Hand. It's Incredible In My Opinion. You Must Have The Utmost Respect For A Person With Those Kind Of Accomplishments.
Jimmy Had Some Information To Share With Me About Why Walter Ray Pitches With His Left Hand. The Insurance Company Who Insures Walter Ray's Bowling Hand Informed Him He Cannot Be Covered Under The Policy If He Pitches Horseshoes With His Right. Therefor Walter Ray Learned To Pitch Himself To Be A National Icon In The Game Of Horseshoes. I Cannot Think Of A More Deserving Individual Who's Accomplishments In Both Sports Speak For Themselves.

200 Blogs

According To My Blog Space This Blog Is My 200Th Posted.
So What Do I Blog About On This Special Occasion?
My Birthright? I Have Often Joked To My Mother That She Had Me Too Early. Had She Given Birth To Me 2 Weeks Later I Would Have Been Born On 5-5-55. Fate Would Have It That I Am An April Baby. So Why Not On April 1St? That's The Day I Enjoy Most. Being A Prankster Growing Up I Had Always Felt That Day(April Fools Day) Was Set Aside Especially For Me. My Family Steered Clear Of Me On That Day. For The Past Few Years I Have Been Laying Low. Ever Heard The Expression The "Calm Before The Storm"?
I Have Been Planning My Biggest Prank Of All Time. Why Do I Tell You Now? Maybe It's Because April Is So Far Away And You Can Consider This An Advanced Warning That A Very Big Prank Could Possibly Be Played On You.
Fast Forward>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

April 1St 2011......April Fools To You! It Could Be You. Beware.
April 1St 2011......April Fools Evening, I Will Share With You.

Looking Beyond A Disability

Growing Up As A Child I Knew A Person By Their Character. If They Had An Affliction Of Any Kind It Took A Backseat To The True Identity Of That Person.
For Example My Special Aunt, Bev. My Parents Would Take Us Kids Over To Bill & Bev's House So They Could Play Euchre. They Had Two Girls, So Going Over There Was BORING. Aunt Bev Had Polio In Her Younger Years And Had To Get Around On Crutches. It Was Just A Way Of Life For Her And We Never Gave It Another Thought.
I Use To Love Playing With Her Crutches. As Always If Not One But Both Parents Would Scold Me Until Aunt Bev Would Chime In And Tell Them To Let Me Be Bacause I Can't Hurt Them.
My Friend Brian, Who I Have Mentioned In My Blogs Was In A Horrible Accident Which Led Him To Years Of Recovery. Even Though This Accident Left His Speech Slurred And His Walk With A Limp, His Mind Is Just As Sharp As It Ever Was.
My Reason For Mentioning All This Leads Me To My Sister Brenda. After Her Stroke She Had A Difficult Time With Her Speech. Those Who Were With Her Often Learned How To Understand And Communicate Well With Brenda.
I Guess What I Am Getting To Is Now I Wish I Had Spent More Time With Her. I Never Realized Her Days Were Numbered. Unfortunatley All Our Days Are Numbered. How We Use Those Days Is What Really Counts. They Say Lessons Are Learned Through Experiences We Have Throughout Life.
We Need To Look Beyond A Disability And Find The Real Person Inside. In Most Cases They Are Still In There. A Disability Can Disguise A Person's Character.
I Have Always Tried To Learn By My Shortcomings. There Is Little Doubt To Me That Brenda Is Looking Down At Us With Her Heavenly Body Reminding Us That God Is Good. Even Though She Was Not Attending Church On A Weekly Basis, Her Faith In God Should Never Be Questioned. When Her Earthly Body Became Crippled, Her Soul Was Still Intact. Not Only Was She A Loving Sister, She Was A Wonderful Human Being.
When We Are Children Our Hearts Are Different. We View Life From A Different Perspective. We Were Pure With Innocents.
To My Readers. Take A Moment Of Your Time And Think Of That Person In Your Life With A Disability. Whether It Be A Co-Worker, Neighbor, Somebody At Church. Look Beyond Their Disability.
Find The Real Person Inside. You'll Be Glad You Did.

Creating A Memory

It Was A Typical Hot And Sweaty July Afternoon. It Was Nearly 7PM Before I Finished For The Day. I Knew If I Finished Early Enough I Would Be Able To Catch The Second Game Of A Double Header With The Danville Dan's. I Called My Brother Tuck And Was Told They Left After Watching The First Game. They Told Me My Dad Left As Well. My Dad Try's To Attend All The Home Games Since He Has A Season Pass. This Being Saturday Night And Church Is Tomorrow Morning, So One Was Enough For Him.
After I Showered I Was Heading Out The Door To Catch The Second Game. My Grandson Andres Asked If He Could Go. I Told Him Sure, Let's Go.
As We Approached The Stadium The Lights Glowed And The Sounds Of Baseball Became A Reality For An Eight Year Old On The Eve Of His 9th Birthday. He Looked Up At Me And Told Me He Has Never Been To A Big Ball Field Before. You Could Hear The Excitement In His Voice As His Eyes Roamed Throughout The Stadium. Nachos And A Snow Cone Was The Choice Of Food For The Game. Of Course He Had A Million And One Questions But That Was To Be Expected. I Was More Than Willing To Answer Them All Because A Memory Was Being Created Tonight. He Will Fondly Remember His First Big League Game With His Pappy. I Enjoyed Being A Part Of The Memory.
Not Only Was It A Memory For Him, It Was Also For Me.
Happy Birthday Beano! Pappy Loves You Very Much.

If You Could See Me Now

If You Could See Me Now

Our prayers have all been answered. I finally arrived.
The healing that had been delayed has now been realized.
No one's in a hurry. There's no schedule to keep.
We're all enjoying Jesus, just sitting at His feet.

If you could see me now, I'm walking streets of gold.
If you could see me now, I'm standing strong and whole.
If you could see me now, you'd know I've seen His face.
If you could see me now, you'd know the pain is erased.
You wouldn't want me to ever leave this place,
If you could only see me now.

My light and temporary trials have worked out for my good,
To know it brought Him glory when I misunderstood.
Though we've had our sorrows, they can never compare.
What Jesus has in store for us, no language can share.

You wouldn't want me to ever leave this perfect place
If you could only see me now.

A Night To Remember

Another Night My Mind Can't Focus On Anything Other Than My Sister Brenda.
The Photo Above Was Taken Sometime Between 1973-1975. Tuck And I Are Not Pictured Because We Were In Uncle Sam's Canoe Club. Brenda Is In The First Row Sitting On The Left. The Boy In The Middle Was My Brother Loyal Who Was Killed In An Automobile Accident 2 Years Ago.
If Only Time Could Stand Still. If It Could, Life Would Not Be As It Is. That's Why Fate Is What Determines Life. Everything Happens For A Reason. We May Not Understand It At Times, But Something Or Someone Will Be Affected.
At The Time Of This Writing Brenda Is Near Death. This Transition Is Heartbreaking. Not Only Is She Too Young To Die, We Lose A Person Who Was So Loving As Well As Outspoken. Janis Joplin And The Grateful Dead Was Her Music Of Choice. I Can Remember I Had Found A Janis Joplin Record Album At A Rummage Sale. It Really Felt Good To See Her Face When I Handed It To Her.
I Will Miss My Sister Brenda. She Has Been A Part Of My Life For More Than 40 Years.
If You Never Had The Opportunity To Know Her, You Lost Out.
I Will Never Forget How She Comforted Me In The Darkest Moments Of My Life.
At That Time When There Seemed No Valid Reason For My Life To Continue, She Reassured Me That Life Has Good Things To Offer Me If I Was Willing To Accept Life As It Is. We Cried Together And Reaffirmed Our Love For Each Other. Sibling Love Is Near The Unconditional Love A Parent Has For Their Child. We May Fight Or Argue With One Another But The Moment Someone Else Does, We Stand United And Show Our Support No Matter What.
My Heart Is Broken. Brenda Will Soon Become A Memory. This Tragic Event Is Just Another Reminder That We Should Live Our Lives To The Fullest. Reminding Those We Love How Important They Are To Us. Enjoy Each Other And Treat Each Day Like It Is Our Last. You Never Know, It Could Be.
